Elly and James : A fun filled wedding day at The Norfolk Mead…

I knew it would be a gorgeous day from the moment I walked into bridal prep. Everyone was relaxed, enjoying the morning, and beaming with smiles, full of excitement.

The boys started the day with smoke grenade photos…at last I got to photograph these!! I’ve been waiting to shoot smoke grenades at a wedding for ages! It worked really well and there were more to come throughout the day, there was a tad more smoke than anticipated for Elly and James couple ones, but it’s safe to say there was a lot of fun had with these.

Of all the weddings we’ve done at The Norfolk Mead, this was the first time shooting a ceremony at the church - it was lovely hearing the bells ring, and with the lucky burst of dry weather, everyone was able to make their way down the lane by foot - this was really special.

I thought their little bridesmaid might burst with joy during the ceremony - she had told me it was the first wedding she’d been too and was sooooo excited all morning. Both of the girls were so helpful and lovely - I was smiling so much behind the lens capturing little moments of them through the day.

After a happy confetti exit, we all headed back to the mead, everyone sat casually around the beautiful garden to enjoy the warm sunshine that we’ve all been waiting for!

There were some great speeches, a delicious meal, and then for the most brilliant surprise! During dessert three ‘waiters’ suddenly burst into song, they were so much fun and no one wanted it to end. There were a fair few encores!!

The singing waiters. can be found here if you’d like to check them out for your day.

Later on we took full advantage of the weather, and many of the beautiful backdrops the Norfolk mead has across its meadow. Elly and James were so relaxed with each other, which makes for the best couple photos.

The day was organised to a tee, very relaxed, and full of fun and smiles. It ended with a sparkler walk and an energetic packed out dance floor! Amazing,

Thank you so much for allowing us to capture your day Elly and James. I hope you are having an amazing honeymoon and enjoy these memories…
