During these uncertain times, I just want to reassure you that I am here, and will do all that I can, to be as flexible and accommodating as possible for you in planning your day. None of us have experienced anything like this before, we are all in uncharted waters, but we will navigate our way through these times together,
I have outlined a few points and clearly stated current terms for you below, things may change, and there will be lots of questions I’m sure, so we just need to stay in good communication with each other, but for now this is from me…
A note on 2020 weddings!
Planning a wedding for, or in, 2020/21 is not like it has ever been before, initial expectations and ideas may have had to of been amended (or completely and utterly thrown out!!) But we humans are apparently pretty good at adapting.
This year so far, I have seen a wedding moved forward a week before the set day, an afternoon first dance, and a totally homemade wedding – All completely unprecedented but all completely unique and special.
I have captured 100’s of wedding days, each different and therefore new to me, but this is a whole new world for us all – I was so, so excited to get back to capturing these amazing moments that I had missed but I was also a little apprehensive…. Things are certainly different at the moment, but if you are currently planning a wedding (and if this does all stick around for a while) I want to reassure you that even though you may need to change your initial visions to move ahead – micro weddings, and long awaited days are currently rocking the wedding world – The utter determination to reach the I do’s regardless of everything, and love overpowering it all, makes for a very emotional day. Laughter, tears and love have been abundant throughout, and I feel like I’m capturing a little extra magic – and also pages of history!
It may initially need to be a shorter or smaller wedding day, but all of my couples from 2020 have now booked second parties for 2021 as well! and I have worked with them all to create these packages.
A few of my changes
My contract states full payment is due 28 days before your wedding date, but in the current situation I have changed this to 14 days. This gives you more time before paying the final balance with things changing so rapidly at present.
It’s more important than ever that we keep in good communication with each other. Leading up to your day we may still be able to have in person meetings, but if not we can keep in touch and still safely communicate via email, phone calls, Zoom and Whatsapp.
You can also now move your date at any time for a small fee of £100. (Subject to availability) If it is to a date that is within 60days or less this will be done free of charge.
Safety is at the forefront, and in keeping with guidelines I will be wearing a mask throughout your day, I will also be washing my hands and using sanitizer at more regular intervals. A safe distance will also be maintained whenever possible
If your day has to be cancelled for your date due to Government restrictions
We really feel for you if your day suddenly needs to be cancelled. Just remember, although you may have to wait a little (even maybe a lot) longer – your day WILL come, and when it does it will be awesome! Trust me I have captured a few post lock down weddings now and although they may not be everything that was originally planned – the days expectations have been by far exceeded.
I will not be charging any fees for rescheduling your date when you have had to cancel and will work alongside you to find a new date that suits yourselves and your other suppliers. Please do consider that for all suppliers it will be far better to postpone or reschedule than cancel.
If I am unavailable for your new chosen date unfortunately your booking fee will not be refunded, this is in accordance with rules issued by the government’s Competition and Markets Authority. Each booking costs a considerable amount in marketing and I will have already spent time on admin, meetings, and planning for your wedding. The booking fee covers these costs. Having held your date, rescheduling it will always be preference.
In any circumstance other than government or my own cancellation, the cancellation terms and fees will apply. Full terms are stated in my contract.
I will be putting together a package that you can soon find on my pricing page, this will offer shorter coverage times for weddings.
If you have booked a full day package with me and find that you are then restricted to a shorter day, I will work with you to try and provide a wedding now/party later package.
Please take care, and feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss anything at all Kelly xx
